In this episode, I remodel a kitchen for Evan and Emily. She had a color palette in mind, muted navy with white. But we still wanted to maintain the original Mediterranean style of the home. We ended up with an spanish encaustic tile in navy and white with a clean, moorish geometric pattern. A very durable, natural stone, quartzite, has veining in a complementary tone of navy with gray and cream tones as a background. We were able to achieve the look and feel she wanted without losing any functionality or storage space.
